Conversations by the Glass

Each Wednesday join our Sommelier and GM Tim Rawding for a Marsh House Bar takeover!

“Every Wednesday, I will pull some of my favorite wines from our cellar at Marsh House to pour by the glass. I am excited to share with you wines that aren’t often available to taste, and to have conversations that lead to... well, opening more bottles! During the month of November I will be busting out several versions of my favorite grape varietal in the world, Syrah. Made famous along the steep banks of the Rhone River, Syrah is as versatile a grape as you can find on the dinner table. Expect some fresh, floral, fruity, meaty, smokey and savory bombshells this month and hopefully some ideas for the ultimate wine holiday, Thanksgiving.”

This week featuring: Domaine A. Clape, Le Vin des Amis, Vin de France 2016

Auguste Clape pioneered the production of great Cornas in the late 1960s. Now, his Grandson, Olivier, tends to the vines and has carried on the traditions that make this the greatest estate in all of the Northern Rhone. This Syrah is perfectly named Le Vin des Amis - “a wine of friends.” At $15 a glass, we expect to make plenty of friends with this epic juice flowing at the Marsh House bar. Come join us!
