Conversations by the Glass

Each Wednesday join our Sommelier and GM Tim Rawding for a Marsh House Bar takeover!

“Every Wednesday, I will pull some of my favorite wines from our cellar at Marsh House to pour by the glass. I am excited to share with you wines that aren’t often available to taste, and to have conversations that lead to... well, opening more bottles! During the month of December its all about being large and in charge. All of our conversations by the glass will be offered from Magnums. To be clear, that’s two bottles in one. The great wines of the world develop in a different way out of magnum and are often a rare find. But we thought, ‘tis the season. Come discover if bigger is actually better.”

This week featuring: Lucien Crochet cuvée Prestige, Sancerre 2006

When people get to talking about Sancerre, the conversation rarely leads to discussions about delicious Pinot Noir. It’s always Sauvignon Blanc this and Sauvignon Blanc that. Well Pinot Noir has made a powerful case for itself on the banks of the Loire River with this bottling from Lucien Crochet. The fruit is focused, powerful and only a supporting actor to the silky tannins that glide across the palate. At $25 a glass, our first Magnum of December will have you second guessing all that money you might have spent on Burgundy.
