During the months of July and August, we will be paying homage to one of the OG wine bars in New York City, Terroir, and their fearless leader Paul Grieco. Several years ago Paul started a movement among wine bars and restaurants not just in NYC but across the country called "Summer of Riesling." Buyers everywhere would stock up on their favorite Rieslings and pour them by the glass, exhibiting the beauty, power and most importantly the versatility that Riesling brings to the table. I never thought I’d call a Riesling a steak wine until this iteration by Johannishof came my way. It is no secret that the Rheingau region puts out powerful wines of exceptional quality. This time around, I’m excited to challenge our guests (at $12 a glass) to enjoy this gem through their entire meal. No dish too strong. No dish too weak.
