Conversations by the Glass

Each Wednesday join our Sommelier and GM Tim Rawding for a Marsh House Bar takeover!

"Every Wednesday, I will pull some of my favorite wines from our cellar at Marsh House to pour by the glass. I am excited to share with you wines that aren’t often available to taste, and to have conversations that lead to... well, opening more bottles! During the month of September I will be digging into my favorite wine region in the world, Piemonte. Tucked up into the northwest corner of Italy, Piemonte has made a name for itself behind the Nebbiolo grape and it’s representatives in Barolo and Barbaresco. To kick off the fall at Marsh House, we will dabble in lesser known vineyards for Nebbiolo and in lesser known grape varietals found throughout Piemonte.”

This week featuring: Matteo Correggia Anthos, Piemonte 2017

Brachetto d’Acqui is known for its sparkle, its sweetness and its ability to pair with a perfectly sourced piece of chocolate. Our friend Matteo Correggia has decided to take a different angle with the Brachetto grape by producing a dry, still bottling. On the nose you’d think you fell into a thousand rose bushes, littered with the occasional strawberry. Drunk with a slight chill at $8 a glass, it will be hard to ever look at Brachetto the same.
