Conversations by the Glass

Each Wednesday join our Sommelier and GM Tim Rawding for a Marsh House Bar takeover!

“Every Wednesday, I will pull some of my favorite wines from our cellar at Marsh House to pour by the glass. I am excited to share with you wines that aren’t often available to taste, and to have conversations that lead to... well, opening more bottles! During the month of November I will be busting out several versions of my favorite grape varietal in the world, Syrah. Made famous along the steep banks of the Rhone River, Syrah is as versatile a grape as you can find on the dinner table. Expect some fresh, floral, fruity, meaty, smokey and savory bombshells this month and hopefully some ideas for the ultimate wine holiday, Thanksgiving.”

This week featuring: Domaine Gramenon, Sierra du Sud, Côtes du Rhone 2017

Meat, it’s what’s in the glass. On the eve of Thanksgiving we’ve decided to source our Syrah from the sun baked plains of the Southern Rhone. Domaine Gramenon’s Sierra du Sud is a bold and savory expression of Syrah that would probably overpower your Thanksgiving Turkey. It might be best to serve this powerhouse alongside a Bordelaise soaked steak. At $20 a glass, Gramenon has given us a wine to for which to be thankful.
