“Every Wednesday, I will pull some of my favorite wines from our cellar at Marsh House to pour by the glass. I am excited to share with you wines that aren’t often available to taste, and to have conversations that lead to... well, opening more bottles! During the month of December its all about being large and in charge. All of our conversations by the glass will be offered from Magnums. To be clear, that’s two bottles in one. The great wines of the world develop in a different way out of magnum and are often a rare find. But we thought, ‘tis the season. Come discover if bigger is actually better.”

This week featuring: Francois Raveneau, Petit Chablis 2014

There is only one word synonymous with great Chablis and that is Reveneau. Drinking the wines of Raveneau are often a religious experience that could rival one of the many days spent in church this month. This particular bottling is found outside Chablis proper in a clay heavy group of vineyards designated as Petit Chablis. It seems only fitting that we drink the grandest Petit Chablis in the largest bottle we could find. At $25 a glass, you will find yourself forever changed by the capacity of Chardonnay from Chablis.
